Spain Visa Guide

Spain, a country with a rich historical legacy and one of the largest in Europe, has left an indelible mark on world history as the first global empire. The Spain visa now facilitates entry into the country for a multitude of purposes.

Spain

The Spain visa allows entry into Spain for a specified duration, with various types available depending on the purpose of your visit. As a Schengen country, a visa issued by the Spanish embassy permits travel to other Schengen nations as well.

Application Process:

The Embassy of Spain has delegated the Schengen Spain visa application process in India to Spain VAC (Visa Application Center) facilities across the country. Applications are offline, with no online option available. Before applying, ensure eligibility for your chosen visa category:

1. Gather all required documents as per the checklist for your specific category.

2. Download and fill out the application form from the VAC or Embassy/Consulate website, then print it. Alternatively, print the form and fill it with a blue ink pen.

3. Book your visa appointment at the VAC through their online portal.

4. Submit your completed application form, necessary documents, and fees at the VAC, including biometric data.

Note: Applications for long-term National Spanish visas must be made directly to the Embassy.

If you’ve submitted biometrics for a Schengen permit in the past 5 years, they won’t need to be resubmitted. In this case, a third party with a letter of authorization can submit your application.

Spain VAC now offers a mobile application for applying from home, with officials sent to collect biometrics and documents. Contact the VAC for more details.

Ensure all documents are original and genuine to avoid visa rejection due to false information.
